Sun Is Shining (Brand Blank Remix)

I am pretty surprised at the small number of Bob Marley remixes in the dubstep world. Reggae made a huge contribution to the foundation of dubstep, but maybe Bob's songs were just too good. However, Dubspain released this Brand Blank remix of Sun Is Shining, and the mix is an epic balancing act. Marley's light vibe found it's womp-mate. Drops at 1:23.

Why Even Try (unreleased)

For all you lazy people out there, here's a track from Theophilus London remixed by the Bloody Beetroots available from Soundcloud. This unreleased remix featuring vocals from Sarah Quin takes a Daft Punk sounding back beat and adds a spunky keyboard melody that adds a spring to your step.

Here's the original from last week, which has a little more weight to the beat.

Vapor Duster

Every time without fail, Deletah is releasing unbeatable tracks. This time a little less womptastic and still they can't lose. If you need to get in to the zone, say for finals, this is the song to do it. By 3:28 you'll be long lost in your own mind. Dust off what you find in there, and thank Milwaukee's electronic geniuses for helping you by liking them on facebook, following them on twitter, and making sure that they are heard.

I Love It

Ever since I saw the bike trick video featuring Nosebleed Section that came out years ago and went viral, Hilltop Hoods have been my favorite thing to ever come out of Australia. I know this song came out a while ago, but I was too stupid to post it. Won't be making the mistake again. This song, I Love It, Ft. Sia, was the first single off their now available album Drinking From The Sun. We need to get the US to realize that our music scene is missing a piece, and I personally need the group on tour here soon. They combine all elements, and just create well rounded music that is, at it's core, simply fantastic. Congrats on going platinum guys.

Burr

A lot of people, probably most people, hate Gucci. I am not one of those people. I'm also kind of a fan of when Chris Brown takes a shot at rhyming, despite his last verse on Look at Me Now. The beat has an eastern twang that takes me back to Christina Milian's Dip it Low. Waynes verse at 2:45 is enough, the beat is classic Wayne like from Monster (also known as David Banner). Hip Hop needs to get back to the roots.

just for fun:

#KMM

Apparently Kaskade is doing Kaskade Music Monday's, releasing this mashup from Ultra on Monday. Finally, Sandro Silva and Quintino's Epic has lyrics, thank you Kaskade. Paired with Mindy Gledhill's vocals from Call Out, the simple addition gives the song a new more spiritual(?) feel. Absolutely cannot wait for his Lollapalooza set, Freaks of Nature get ready.

Oh and here's his absolutely insanely epic Coachella set. I love modern technology. My favorite bit's right around 40 minutes in. But it's epic the entire way through.

Inspiration Day

New video from Avicii, Silhouettes.

I'm going to officially dub today a Third Flo Inspiration Day. This video is what it's all about, folks. I have goosebumps from watching it, chills down my spine, and a big stupid grin. The music industry is rapidly changing, and we're a part of it. Feel important, feel revolutionary, and feel inspired. "We will never get back to the oldschool, to the old rounds, its all about the newfound."

Michal Menert 2.0

Second EP from Michael Minert off the Pretty Lights Label titled Even If It Isnt Right has perfected the PLM ora that drew the world in. Oldies samples and hip hop beats intertwined in an electronic flow. It embodies everything that got me into electronic music in the first place. Download HERE.

"Hi. My name is Michael. I've been a writer, arranger, and producer for around 15 years. From disco to rock balance, the tempo's all vary. And each cut is played..." - From the intro track, Hi.

Happier

Here's Rudemental's remixed track of Happier by Paper Crows. The original track good but dramatic, so this remix gives it a lighter feel. It combines elements of indie-electro, hip hop drumkits, synthy melodies and a romanticizing horn section. A great track for squeezing out the last of your work in the early morning, and it gets the day rolling with a little reggae pick me up.

Here's Rudimental's latest unique track, Feel The Love ft. John Newman. Truly beautiful dubstep, not sure how I have never heard this. Takes off at 1:05, I can see this becoming my new favorite.

Support Good Music

Hey guys, Good Music All Day has always been an inspiration from their ambition, growth, and innovation. We're all just out here trying to get new sounds out to people. Support good music.

Theophilus London

Image from http://concreteopinions.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/theophilus_london-camera.jpg

Theophilus London is set to release his debut mixtape tomorrow, but Rolling Stone got the remixes even before the album. Timez Are Weird These Nights- The Remixes is an incredible remix set featuring Crookers and the Bloody Beetroots. I can't find an embeddable player, but you have to hear this, so follow the link here.

Waikiki

Blackbird Blackbird has captured the summer escape that we are all currently craving in his new track Waikiki. A combination of tropical vibes and mellow electronics, airy vocals add to the Vampire Weekend-esque sound. Lo-fi love.

King Los

A lot of people don't know Los. I'm not sure why that is, but he's initiated the battle for the crown on the new track King Los. His queen would be Lola Monroe, the first lady of Taylor Gang. She brings back the bad bitch mentality that Nicki Minaj once had, without the pop queen multiple-personality.

Here's her track Louis Gucci Fendi, also with Los. Killin it over Beamer Benz or Bentley. The first verse is enough for you to understand that she's what's up.
"I don't need a chaser, took a shot and then he said the only thing I chase is paper."

Call Me Greyhound

Mashup master Kap Slap blended Call Me Maybe by Carly Rea Jepsen and Sweedish House Mafia's Greyhound (yeah, from the robot dog vodka commercial, which I thought was awesome by the way). Mixtape on the way.

Skrillex & Damian Marley

Make It Bun Dem, a collab between Skrillex and Damian Marley, is exactly the reggae vibe I've been craving. Moomba, reggaeton, dancehall, I want it all. Skrillex takes it down a little, omitting his usual insane drops and trading them for a constant dub backdrop. Nonetheless, rudeboy bass for sure.

Candy Air

Deletah, Candy Air. Omnomnomnomnomnomnom
love these boys, Milwaukee represent.

Get Free

Major Lazer picked up Amber Coffman for Get Free. With a tropical vibe thats incredibly calming, it's more low-key than the Major Lazer we're used to. No drop on this one folks, just easy sailin downstream till the levee gives in.

Alvin Risk

Infinity, the title track of Alvin Risk's EP being released on the OWSLA label May 24th, is going to be monumental. Of all the artists, Risk has a much more unique sound, comprising elements of multiple different styles. It's like he took the dub wobble and made it house, or something, whatever it is it rules. Listen up, OWSLA's about to get real.

Porter Robinson

Language, the new single from Porter Robinson was released today. If you're like me and haven't taken too much notice to Robinson, we both need to make some life changes. Melodic and comforting, the intro builds to 2 minutes and then takes off like a Deadmau5 track. "Let me float back to the place you found me." It's one of those songs that feels like a good memory.

Wizzles Back

With a new album approaching, Bow Wow releases this Outkast freestyle Da Art Of Storytelling. "I'm too cool for a cell." When he lost the lil he gained a lot. Bow! (flocka voice).

He also made the best version of All the Way Turnt Up out there.

Roger That Freestyle

Ruffneck (Alvin Risk Remix)

Hell yeah, OWSLA is really getting diverse and I love it. Alvin Risk remixed Skrillex's Ruffneck Bass at Ultra, and this recording just got released. Studio coming son. It adds a reggae-moomba vibe that is just epic. Sprinkled with Rusko's Every day and Welcome to Jamrock by Damien Marley, it has every quality I want in rave mode.

Dreams of Money

Hypetrack just premiered Mickey Factz video Dreams of Money. This sample sounds so familiar but I can't put my finger on it, carrying an air of familiarity paired with innovative mixing.

Theraflu

Kanye teams up with Dj Khaled and DJ Pharris for his newest single. The ego is so huge it carries its own bassline. Reppin Chicago today, you already know.

This Is For My '92 Kids

Born and raised in Chi, Jeff Djoum A.K.A. DJ Dribblez is establishing himself in Milwaukee. This is the come up, with a satisfyingly haunting beat and a voice that reminds me of Hov, it's time to revamp the oldschool. 1992 is an anthem for the generation. Plus check the bitch eating Crisco at .55, straight ballin. Download the mixtape, Diaries of An Ordinary Man, at his blog here.

Kinetics & One Love

This video had its debut on Good Music All Day. It is a remix of Lana Del Rey's song Video Games done by Kinetics & One Love. A great intro to ease in, the rhymes come in at about 1:15. Nothing goes better with a fine rhyme than a soulful voice sample, perfected in this remix. It sounds like finally getting your day started on a lazy summer saturday.

This Is So Bad.Ass.

The Cataracs new single All You features Waka Flocka and Kaskade. It's like it was made for me. The first single off their debut album, it was perfectly crafted to hook a big following. Crazy good, almost indescribable, a perfect flow of hyphy electro hip hop. It's the kind of song I can't wait to tell everyone about.

"Quit that bougie shit girl, bend that ass over"

Love This Life

New T.I.
Love This Life.
Wiz-like chorus.
He's the king.
End of description.

New Gramatik EP!

Image from http://thatfix.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Gramatik-digitalfreedom-cover-art-620x620.jpg

DOWNLOAD THE EP!

New Gramtik EP, #digitalfreedom, represents everything that music needs to become. Gramatik has always been a favorite, and this EP proves his versatility and relevance to the music industry. Free music is everything, there is no reason to ever pay for a song. The free music model promoted by the Pretty Lights Label is brilliant and essential to the future of the industry. And the reason their songs are free is because their dedication to touring and putting on a live show inspires us to become a part of the music rather than the funding for it. <3

I Just Wanna X Burial

The Hood Internet never fails me, the newest mix being the LEP Bogus Boys latest album Now or Neva. This song mixes Bogus Boys' "I Just Wanna" with Burial by Archangel, a track you probably don't know but should. The entire Burial album is really great, dark downtempo with a pinch of hip hop beats for good measure. Here's the original:

Athem

CyHi The Prynce got B.O.B. and Travis Porter to go in on this ATL track, Athem. Sampling the fan favorite chant, this song adds an epic quality to that hometown feel that southern rap does so well. Look for The Prynce's mixtape, the Ivy League Club, coming out soon.

Riot!

If Mario was starting a riot in the industrial future, this would be the theme song. Cookie Monsta just released his new EP and this title track Riot! uses oldschool electronic sounds and fuses them with the dubstep version of heavy metal. This one could be dangerous.

Freebird

Stunna, another hometown homeboy, released this remix track. Elegant and soulful with an electro twist.

Bullseye

Who the hell is KDrew? The Jersey native took what sounds like 80's influence (in the good way, not the "Flock of Seagulls" way)and used it to give his wobbles melody. Bullseye.

Lights

System, a producer from south east England who I've never heard before, follows the trend to add an angelic melody to some electornic dubstep house combo. "Lights are on and there's sweat in your embrace." Sounds like the star of the live set. I would normally judge based on the Anime video image, but I'll let this one slide. Drops at .55.

This song, I Need You, seems to go along more with System's general style. Very electronic, chill, and yet all I want to do is dance...
